National Anthem

The national anthem is something that should be led, not performed. The best national anthem experience I had was at a Phoenix Suns game this year. An older gentlemen from the VFW came out and started with a request, "Please sing along." He had a good voice, nothing spectacular. But he got the whole arena singing with him. Fifteen thousand people singing the anthem together.

Geocaching

I'm pretty sure the guy (or girl) that invented geocaching was a parent of young children.

Parent: "Hey kids, want to go for a hike?"
Kids: "No way dad."

vs.

Parent: "Hey kids, want to go on a treasure hunt?"
Kids: "Yippie yahoo, a treasure hunt, let's go right now."

New Camera, new photos

I got myself a real DSLR a few months ago. One thing it is really good at (as opposed to a point and shoot camera) is getting good action photos. Almost no shutter lag and 5 photos per second in rapid shoot mode. Pentax K-X.

Heisenberg

When I meet God, I am going to ask him two questions: why relativity? and why turbulence? I really believe he will have an answer for the first. ---W. Heisenberg, on his death bed
